I think that you’re overthinking this. The truth is that a majority of voters are racists and Nazi, and voted accordingly. If you vote for a Nazi, you ARE a Nazi.

A secondary issue that you didn’t mention was that the issue of equal rights and bodily autonomy for women just wasn’t that important to them. Given an opportunity, women yet again voted against their own interests.

I tend to think that it is more about low information voters that are mad about inflation, and not because the majority of the country are actually Nazis. Not that you have to be ignorant to be mad about inflation, but I think many of these people don't know 80% of the things that Trump actually says when he sounds like a fascist.

My fear, however, is that we may be going down a dark path towards fascism that will be hard to get out of. Four years from now is when we may find out for sure. We're back in a position where we have to hope that Republicans accept an election in order to move forward. They only seem to like elections when they win. Trump being in power isn't going to help.

I don’t know if any of this will ever make sense. All bets are off. History is not even rhyming at this point.

I wonder how those trump voters will feel after a year or so? When he's had a year or so to witness the deportation and what other sick things he and his cronies do?

TL; DR. Harris was a horrible candidate. Completely empty suit, unlikable, with a non-record, and what she did go on record with was miserable California liberalism at its worst.

I used to think that ignorance was the root cause of supporting Trump. It takes a breathtaking lack of intellect to believe the filth that spews from Trump’s mouth.

My opinion changed this election cycle. I realized that Trump voters weren’t stupid. They are hate filled racists that enthusiastically embrace Trump’s Nazi ideology. They aren’t being fooled by Trump - he reflects exactly who they are, their intensely held beliefs, and what they want to hear.

This embrace of racist Nazi beliefs extends to the point where white women demonstrably chose to support this program of hate, rather than to protect their own rights and bodily autonomy. Yet again - white women voted against their own interests.
